Years ago I discovered the work of Donald Bradley. As an astrologer, I was interested in the relationship between the positions of the planets and the movements of the markets. That is precisely what Donald Bradley did.
If there is a relationship between the positions of the planets and human behaviour, the markets would be the ultimate showcase. What Bradley did came very close to an actual prediction. I was amazed by his work but I also found periods that were not so good and even times when the relationship betweenBradley’s line charts and the rates on the market were incorrect.
This made me curious. Is it possible to predict the way of the markets using astrology? Bradley’s method wasn’t complete but was it possible that others knew better? A little later, I came across the work of Bates and that of George Bayer. They are cycle analysts and believe there is a continual reoccurring pattern in the share markets that can be predicted by planetary orbits, aspects and constellations.
W.D. Gann
The researcher in me was really awakened when I first read the work of W.D. Gann’s. W.D. Gann is a phenomenon in the world of investment. For years Gann was able to predict the movement of the market. His predictions of tops and bottoms of the markets were accurate to the day.
A veil of mystery surrounds Gann’s work. This is due to Gann himself. His work is full of hints, indications to Bible texts, juggling with numbers and corresponding texts that in turn create even more questions. Even though Gann never said it in so many words, I believe he used astrology for his yearly predictions. Judging by the quality of his predictions, he was very good at it too.
My astrological background came in very handy when reading Gann’s work. I began looking for connections and historical comparisons and decided to test Gann’s theories on future market developments. The study helped me a great deal and I now look at cycle movements in a very different way. Gann states that time is the most important instrument to predict future markets.
Future market patterns
My research has led to a system wherein I can differentiate various time periods. This makes it possible to draw out future market patterns like an architect. I do not know how high or how low rates will go but I do know which time periods are very important for rise and decline.
Gann’s work is often intricate and hard to understand. A major theory of Gann that is suitable for comparison to astrology is his theory about time periods and cycles. Gann calls it “The Master Time Factor”. The relation between cycle movements on the shares market and astrological trends are hidden in this theory.
